Just some ideas developing for my final project. I plan to make an artefact that reflects a different take on the four seasons of the year.
My first idea involved planting a tree branch on a plant pot full of soil with a canvas painted with leaves. The four seasons are then reflected by leaves which will be suspended onto the canvas.
I then decided to maybe focus on the man made structures in the park. The sundial in the flower garden is very prominent and this will allow for the artefact to have a practical use. These ideas were inspired by my visit to Somerset house where a lot of the designs had practical applications in the real world.
A more simplistic idea for an artefact. A plant pot with hand made leaves or branches to represent the seasons to as to not take directly from nature.

My final design idea which includes four canvases that will depict the four seasons in their own unique way. These canvases will be suspended by rope from the ceiling. Although it may not have any practical uses, I feel this is a unique take on reflecting the placebook place by displaying change within my place.
